Michigan's 2011 Recruiting Class Ranked Second

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team's 2011 recruiting class has been tabbed the No. 2 recruiting class in the country by tennisrecruiting.net in the site's winter rankings. U-M signed three Blue Chip recruits to National Letters of Intent during the fall signing period.

Head coach Ronni Bernstein signed Emina Bektas (Indianapolis, Ind./New Braunfels), Kristen Dodge (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) and Sarah Lee (Los Angeles, Calif./Campbell Hall Episcopal) to NLIs to join the Wolverines for the 2011-12 academic year.

It is the third consecutive season that Bernstein's recruiting class has garnered a top-10 ranking. The 2009 class was ranked No. 9, with the 2010 class coming in at No. 7.

The Big Ten had six schools mentioned in the top 25, with Michigan being joined by Indiana (No. 6), Purdue (No. 8), Illinois (No. 9), Iowa (No. 18) and Ohio State (No. 25).
