CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- A trio of University of Michigan women's tennis players will participate in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, through Monday, May 27, at the University of Illinois.
Junior Brooke Bolender (Delray Beach, Fla./Kaplan) and sophomore Emina Bektas (Indianapolis, Ind./New Braunfels) were awarded a No. 5-8 seed and will face off with Robin Anderson and Skylar Morton of UCLA in the first round on May 23. The two teams just met at the No. 1 doubles spot during UCLA's 4-0 win over Michigan in the third round of the NCAA Tournament, with Bolender and Bektas recording an 8-6 win.
Bektas and freshman Ronit Yurovsky (New Kensington, Pa./Plum) will both participate in the singles draw, which begins on May 22. Bektas, who is ranked No. 30, will face No. 26 Katie Le of Santa Clara on the right side of the draw at 9 a.m. CDT. Yurovsky, currently listed at No. 48 in the ITA rankings, squares off against No. 124 Nini Lagvilava of Stony Brook in first-round action on the left side of the draw at 3:30 p.m. CDT.
Match times have yet to be announced by the NCAA.

Emina Bektas is participating in the singles draw for the second straight season. She is the fifth Wolverine in school history to earn two bids to the singles tournament.
With Emina Betkas and Ronit Yurovsky participating in the singles tournament, it marks the first time that Michigan has had two participants in the tourney.
