2012 Michigan Women's Track & Field Roster

Arnett Chisholm recently completed his 27th season as an assistant coach with the University of Michigan women's track and field program. He works with the Wolverine sprinters and hurdlers and has helped coach the Wolverines to 16 Big Ten titles and a pair of Triple Crowns.

Most recently, Chisholm helped coach Cindy Ofili to an NCAA Title in the 60-meter hurdles (2016). She broke all three of her sister's program records in the indoor 60-meter hurdles, 60-meter dash and outdoor 100-meter hurdles on the way to five USTFCCCA All-American honors.

Chisholm helped Tiffany Ofili to five national championships during her career, three in the 100-meter hurdles (2007-09) and two in the 60-meter hurdles (2008-09). At the end of her career, the elder Ofili owned school records in the 60-meter hurdles, 60-meter dash and 100-meter dash.

Over the past four seasons (2013 , '14, '15, '16), Chisholm has helped guide Cindy Ofili five Big Ten titles in addition to her national crown, as Ofili swept the indoor 60-meter hurdles and outdoor 100-meter hurdles in 2014 and repeated in both events as a junior in 2015 before becoming the second woman in conference history to three-peat the outdoor hurdles titles in 2016. She qualified for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships with the help of Chisholm, including a 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championships runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles. He has helped Ofili to rewrite the program record book, breaking the outdoor 100m dash (11.39) and 100m hurdles (12.60) records in one weekend. She also owns the indoor 60-meter (7.39), 200-meter (23.65) and 60-meter hurdles (7.89) records.

Chisholm guided Vera Simms to consecutive Big Ten Conference individual titles in the 400-meter hurdles in 2002 and 2003. During the 2002 season, Simms became the first Michigan hurdler to claim an individual crown since the inception of the Big Ten Championships in 1982. He also helped Robin Landfair find the form that allowed her to set the 100-meter hurdle school record of 13.42 in 2003. Two of his athletes, Kiana Stringfield and Keri Kirk, scored in the 400-meter hurdles at Big Ten Outdoors in 2005, placing sixth and seventh, respectively. Chisholm joined the Michigan women's track and field coaching staff in November 1990 after serving as a volunteer coach in hurdles events with the Wolverine men's track and field program.

A former Michigan sprinter and hurdler, Chisholm earned four track and field letters (1976-79). He was a member of three Michigan Big Ten Conference 4x100-meter relay championship teams. Chisholm earned NCAA All-America honors in 1978, running with the Wolverines' 4x100m relay squad. Chisholm holds an undergraduate degree in education from the University of Michigan (1979).

He earned a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Eastern Michigan University in 1990. Chisholm is the dean of admissions at Washtenaw Community College. He and his wife, Debra, and their daughter live in Romulus.
