HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team was led by four Wolverines that finished in the top five of their respective events on the second day at the Hillsdale Relays on Friday (April 25) at Ken Herrick Outdoor Track.

In the shot put senior/junior Elly Mioduszewski's (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) best mark of the day of 13.69 meters (44-11) secured her a third-place finish. Fifth-year senior Kiley Tobel (Commerce Twp., Mich./Walled Lake Western) cleared a height of 3.85 meters (12-7.5) and finished in a tie for third place.

Freshman Sami Michell (Reed City, Mich./(Reed City) recorded a new personal-best mark in the long jump, leaving her mark in the sand at 5.48 meters (17-11.75) to tie for fifth place. On the track, freshman Paris Parnell (Detroit, Mich./Detroit Renaissance) ran a career-best time of 12.38 in the 100-meter dash to notch a fifth-place finish.

Four Wolverines also represented Michigan in the 5,000-meter run on the opening day at the Hillsdale Relays on Thursday (April 24).

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team was represented by two hurdlers at the historic Penn Relays on Friday (April 25) at Franklin Field.

Senior Erin Busbee (Cleveland, Ohio/Collinwood) and sophomore Cindy Ofili (Ypsilanti, Mich./Huron) both competed in the college 100-meter hurdles. Busbee clocked a time of 13.74 to finish 15th overall, while Ofili's time of 13.35 was good enough for sixth place and secured her a spot in tomorrow's finals (Saturday, April 26) at 3:15 p.m.
