U-Ms ninth-place point total of 21 is the second-highest since 1998, when the Wolverines took fifth place with 24.5 points. Michigan bettered its last years point total by four points and moved up four places from 2006s 13th-place outing.

Seven Michigan individuals earned a program-high total of 10 All-America honors, bettering the previous best by three, set in 2006. U-M's All-Americans that placed in the top eight of their respective events were: Nicole Edwards (3rd place, mile), Katie Erdman (4th place, 800m), Bettie Wade (5th place, Pentathlon), the third-place distance medley relay team of Geena Gall, Chanelle Campbell, Erdman Edwards. Erin Webster finished as one of the top-eight Americans in the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs, while Tiffany Ofili was one of the top-eight Americans in the 60m Hurdles.

Sophomore Tiffany Ofili is the first Wolverine in program-history to earn All-America honors in the 60m hurdles.

Sophomore Bettie Wade became the Wolverines' second-ever pentathlete to earn All-America honors. Jennifer Williams (2002-06) accomplished the feat in 2006.

Fifth-year senior Katie Erdman increased her overall All-American count to seven, after earning her third All-America honor in the 800m in four years.

Junior Nicole Edwards became the second Wolverine in program-history to earn back-to-back All-America honors in the mile. Lindsey Gallo (2001-05) was a mile All-American in 2004 and 2005.

Senior Erin Webster became the first-ever Wolverine to earn All-America honors in both the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs in the same season.

Michigan Associate Head Coach Mike McGuire

On the teams performance ... "We were a little disappointed with some things yesterday, but we came back and competed and had some great efforts and performances."

On Katie Erdman ... "I thought Katie (Erdman) competed really well today. It was her third really hard 800m run over the weekend; I thought she had a great weekend."

On Bettie Wade ... "Bettie (Wade) came in projected to finish fifth and she finished fifth, so in that regards, as a sophomore for the second time in the meet, did a great job for us."

On Erin Webster ... "Erin (Webster) came back and just missed scoring, less than three-tenths of a second out of scoring, she was ninth place. I thought she came back with an outstanding double off her 5,000m performance yesterday."
