Fifth-Year Senior Captains Lead Volleyball into B1G Play

Ally Davis and Kelly Murphy are back for a fifth season with a young Wolverines squad that is 11-1 heading its Big Ten opener Friday (Sept. 23) when U-M hosts No. 1-ranked Nebraska.


Volleyball vs. Central Michigan

• Academic All-Big Ten

• Appeared in all 35 matches, starting 30 times
• Named to the K-State Invitational All-Tournament Team
• Led Michigan with 12 kills in the Wolverines' first Big Ten victory, a 3-1 win over Iowa (Sep. 24)
• Set career-highs as a red-shirt senior in kills, attacks, attack average, assists, digs and service aces
• Led Michigan with 10 kills in a loss to No. 1-ranked Nebraska (Sep. 23)
• Earned a season-high .778 attack average with seven kills on nine swings against Tennessee State (Sep. 3)
• Recorded a career-high 21 kills at Kansas State (Sep. 2)
• Tied her career-high with 15 digs against three opponents, including at Purdue (Oct. 28), at No. 15 Michigan State (Nov. 12), and at No. 2 Minnesota
• Totaled eight kills and a block en route to a four set win over No. 19 Oregon in the second round of the NCAA Tournament
