BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- The University of Michigan volleyball team improved to 3-0 on its 13-day South America trip with a straight-set victory over C.S. Velez Sarsfield Monday night (June 3) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Set scores were 25-21, 25-23, 25-22 over the defending champions of the Argentinian National League and fourth-place finisher in the South American Club League.

Senior Lexi Erwin (Spring, Texas/Woodlands College Park) led U-M with 16 kills and three blocks on the night while adding six digs. Classmate Jennifer Cross (Scarborough, Ontario/Birchmount Park Collegiate) added 12 kills, two service aces and four digs.

Senior Ally Sabol (Los Angeles, Calif./Marymount) had a team-high 14 digs and served out Michigan's comeback win in the second set. The Wolverines were down 23-18 before a 7-0 run off Sabol's serve gave the Maize and Blue a 2-0 advantage. Sophomore Tiffany Morales (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) added 12 digs

Michigan continues its five matches in five days streak Tuesday (June 4) against Gimnasia Y Esgrima De La Plata, a club that finished fourth in the National League.
