RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- The University of Michigan volleyball team closed out a two-match sweep of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo Sunday afternoon (June 9), winning in straight sets and improving its South American tour record to a perfect 7-0. Set scores were 25-18, 25-18 and 25-14.

Senior Lexi Erwin (Spring, Texas/Woodlands College Park) led a balanced offensive attack with eight kills, while classmate Jennifer Cross (Scarborough, Ontario/Birchmount Park Collegiate) had six kills on a .857 attack percentage. Senior Molly Toon (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) also had six kills in the win.

Michigan has 12 service aces in the win, led by Cross' four. Senior Ally Sabol (Los Angeles, Calif./Marymount) added three and also had a team-high 18 digs in the win.

U-M will play the Brazilian Youth National Team on Monday night (June 10) at the Saquarema Training Facility in Rio.
