• Michigan has won its first two matches of the season in each of the last nine seasons.

• Michigan and Tennessee State played for the first time in school history in today's match.

• Junior Lindsey Lerg tied a career high with 16 digs in the Tennessee State win. Lerg also had 16 digs in the 2012 national semifinal match against Texas.

• Sophomore Abby Cole recorded her 15th career double-digit kill performance. It also was her third straight match with double digits in kills dating back to last season.

• Junior Krystalyn Goode led the team in blocks for the 30th time in her career.

• Senior/junior Olivia Reed made her first start of the season. Reed had two blocks and three digs in the win.
