The match was Michigan's second annual "Block Out Bullying" match. The event brought more than 1,300 students from Ann Arbor and surrounding school districts to campus to participate in fun and educational activities with U-M student-athletes.
The match was held at Crisler Center. It was the first time the Wolverines have played in Crisler Center since a 3-1 loss to Ohio State on Nov. 25, 2011. U-M last won at Crisler on Dec. 1, 2007, vs. Colorado State (3-0).
Michigan held an opponent to a negative hitting percentage for the second time this season. The Wolverines also held Clemson to a -.033 hitting percentage on Aug. 30.
Senior Ally Sabol led the Wolverines in digs for the first time this season and the 11th in her career.
Senior Jennifer Cross recorded double-digit kills for the fifth time this year and the 43rd time in her career in the Marshall win.
