Recap |  Box Score |  Photo Gallery

Lexi Erwin (23 kills) and Alex Hunt (21 kills) became the first Michigan teammates to go for more than 20 kills in the same match since Sept. 16, 2005, when Katie Bruzdzinkski (33) and Danielle Pflum (20) turned the feat.

• It was Michigan's second five-set match this season. U-M is now 1-1 in five-set affairs, falling to Minnesota and beating Pepperdine.

• U-M moves to 2-3 against ranked opponents in 2011. Michigan started 2-0 but has dropped its last three against ranked opponents. All three losses have come against higher-ranked foes.

• It was Minnesota's first win in Ann Arbor since 2005.

• It was the fourth time this season Michigan has had four players with at least 10 kills (Jennifer Cross, Lexi Erwin, Alex Hunt and Claire McElheny).

• It was the first time Lexi Erwin eclipsed the 20-kill plateau. It was the 16th time in her career that Alex Hunt went for at least 20 kills.

• It was the first time this season that Michigan lost after holding a 2-0 lead.

Lexi Dannemiller set a new career high with 65 assists, improving upon the 64 she handed out against Pepperdine.

• Michigan wore long-sleeved pink jerseys for its "pink" match. The jerseys were auctioned off to help raise money for the U-M Women's Health Program.
