Tonight was Alumnae Night at Cliff Keen Arena. The 36 alumnae in attendance were introduced between the second and third set.
Former U-M coach Sandy Vong (1973-83) was recognized as well for earning an Honoray M letter at the Homecoming brunch this morning.
Before the match, there was a moment of silence for former U-M head coach Greg Giovanazzi (1992-98), who passed away in March. Many of Giovanazzi's former players at Michigan were in attendance at tonight's match.
Michigan earns consecutive sweeps in a Big Ten week for the first time since Oct. 24-25, 2008, when the Wolverines swept Iowa and Minnesota. Michigan earned two wins on a Big Ten weekend for the first time since Nov. 19-20, 2010, in wins over Purdue and Indiana.
Krystalyn Goode led Michigan in blocks for the third time this season. Goode had five assisted blocks on the night.
Lexi Erwin led the Maize and Blue in kills for the 14th time in 2012 and the 29th time in her career. Erwin had 12 kills on the night.
Tiffany Morales had 12 digs for the match. Morales has been in double digits in digs 17 times this season.
