ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan volleyball team will hold its annual Maize and Blue game on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m. at Cliff Keen Arena. Admission to the match is free.
Michigan volleyball fans will get a first look at the 2014 Wolverines at the intrasquad scrimmage. The Maize and Blue returns 10 letterwinners from last year's squad that made the NCAA Tournament for the eighth consecutive season.
Michigan starts the 2014 season on Friday, Aug. 29, against Stephen F. Austin at the Arkansas Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. That match starts at 4 p.m. CDT. The first home match for the Wolverines will be on Friday, Sept.5, against Duke as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
