Nov. 28, 2011
Each week during the 2011 season, MGoBlue.com will ask each member of the University of Michigan volleyball team the same question as the "Question of the Week."
Week 15: What is the one thing you cannot live without?
Olivia Reed -- I would say people because I like to be social. Being stuck on an island by myself would be my worst nightmare. I would be like Tom Hanks in "Castaway" and have a Wilson the volleyball so I feel like I have a friend.
Michelle McMahon -- One thing I could not live without is the Internet. I went a month without it at the beginning of the school year and felt so disconnected from the world. It was also a struggle to get schoolwork done without it; it's crazy to think about how much society depends on technology now.
Lauren Teknipp -- I cannot live without my cell phone. If I didn't have my phone I would feel completely disconnected from everyone and everything. My phone is especially important during Christmas time because walking to class I can listen to Christmas music on the way to classes!
Karlee Bruck -- I am going to have to go with my pump...for obvious reasons!
Alex Hunt - I can't live without my planner. It is extremely organized and color coded. It has all of the due dates for my assignments, exam dates and meetings. If I don't have it with me, I feel lost.
Catherine Yager -- One thing I cannot live without is music! I listen to music whenever possible. I would say that probably 70 percent of my day includes music. It is mostly country because it's perfect for any mood you are in.
Sloane Donhoff -- Sadly, I cannot live without my phone! It does everything...music, internet, has my entire schedule on it so I never forget appointments, meeting, it's my GPS system, and of course is the way that I keep in touch with everyone - especially my family and friends.
Ally Sabol -- One thing I have recently realized I can't live without is my computer. My friend has been borrowing it for a couple days and since our TV is stuck on one channel because we lost the remote there has not been much to do at my house. I've probably been a lot more needy and annoying to my roommates Lexi Erwin and Jen Cross lately. I'm sure they will be happy when I get my computer back too!
Lexi Erwin -- I cannot live without sweets! Ask Ally Sabol, I am always the go-to person if our house wants to get dessert; I will never turn it down! I try giving it up for Lent, but it has been too hard. Maybe this could be the year!
Molly Toon -- I cannot live without my favorite pair of lululemon pants because, otherwise, I would have no idea what to wear everyday!
Brittany Lee -- I cannot live without my iPod. I love music and it is a vacation for my mind.
Claire McElheny -- There are two things I can't live without, one tangible and one intangible. I couldn't live without humor -- not that I am that funny (although Karlee Bruck may beg to differ), but laughter is the best medicine! I also could not live without my contacts because I am practically blind and can barely see my own hand in front of my face without them.
Lexi Dannemiller -- One thing I can't live without is my phone. I have an iPhone and could never to go back to a non-smartphone because I use it for EVERYTHING! Whenever I need to look something up or have a question, I get right on Google from my phone instantly. If my phone dies or I misplace it, I freak out a little bit. It actually happens more frequently than I would like!
Jennifer Cross -- The thing I cannot live without is my mum. She has always done so much for me and has spent countless hours in hockey arenas, soccer fields and volleyball gyms. She is a talker, so if you don't have at least 15 minutes, do not start up a conversation or she will never let you leave!
