The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan water polo team (15-9, 3-0 CWPA) will jump back into CWPA Western Division play when it travels to Notre Dame (Ohio) (2-8, 0-2) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday (March 21) at Mellon Pool in Euclid, Ohio.
The Wolverines will face the Falcons in water polo for the first time in the program history.
Michigan has won nine of its last 10 games, with eight straight victories. The streak includes a 6-0 sweep at home in the Wolverine Invite last weekend (Fri-Sun., March 16-18). The Maize and Blue defeated Salem International (13-0) in a CWPA game before the team rolled past Gannon (11-2), California Lutheran (15-3), Siena (14-4), Concordia-Irvine (14-9) and Mercyhurst (14-2).
Nineteen players posted a goal for the Maize and Blue over the weekend. Lauren Colton (Tustin, Calif./Tesoro) Meagan Cobb (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville) each scored 11 goals, including hat tricks, to lead U-M.

Series: First Meeting
The Wolverines have won 10 consecutive CWPA division crowns overall and three of the last four CWPA Eastern Championship titles. The postseason divisional tournament returns on April 14-15 in Bloomington, Ind., after a one-year hiatus. During the break, Michigan was named the 2011 Western Division champion based on its regular-season record. Michigan had won the previous seven CWPA Western Division Tournament championships and a pair of Southern Division tournament crowns before that. Overall, U-M has not lost a regular-season league game since 2007 and is 74-3 in conference games all-time.

After last weekend, Michigan moved its hat trick count to 19 on the season. The Wolverines registered several hat tricks last weekend during the Wolverine Invite. Lauren Colton registered two hat tricks, with Meagan Cobb, Audrey Pratt, Claire Ivry and Ellis O'Conner tacking on one each. In their respective game, Cobb finished with four goals and O'Connor added five to tally the hat trick.
Kiki Golden leads the Wolverines with 43 goals, scoring in 20 of 24 games on the year. Golden led Michigan with 10 goals during the Red Fox Invitational. Against Iona, she led all players with six goals.
COBB NAMED CWPA WESTERN DIVISION PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Meagan Cobbearned the CWPA Western Division Player of the Week (March 20) award for her performance during the Michigan's six-game sweep during the Wolverine Invite at home. Cobb tallied 11 goals, including a hat trick versus California Lutheran, seven assists, 18 steals, a kick-out drawn and a field block, recording her eighth weekly honor.

Michigan will play its sixth game of the season in a shallow-deep pool when it faces Notre Dame (OH) at Mellon Pool. U-M has played five games in shallow-deep pools this year and is 4-1 in such games.
TURNING THE TABLE
Morgan Turner surpassed 300 career saves after recording 17 at the conclusion of the Wolverine Invite. Entering the weekend with 299 saves, she posted eight blocks against Gannon in game 2-of-6 for the Wolverines during their home Invite. Turner now holds 316 saves for her career.
GIVE ME MOORE
With an assist against Salem International and a goal versus Cal Lutheran, Hathaway Moore reached 50 career points. She finished the weekend with five points, giving her 53 points for her career.
Kiki Golden and Lauren Colton both reached 100 career goals during the UC Irvine Invitational, held Feb. 25-26. Both captured their 100th in the Wolverines match-up against Hawaii. After facing competition in the UC Irvine Invitational, Golden extends her count to 122, while Colton now posts 118.
Meagan Cobb reached 150 career points after hitting the milestone when she registered one goal in the match-up against UCLA on Feb. 5. On the year, Cobb has 37 points from 23 goals and 14 assists, with 174 points for her career.
Audrey Pratt recorded her 50th career point during Michigan's 7-5 win over UC Davis on Feb. 2. To open the season, Pratt registered her first career hat trick during the Michigan Kick-Off.
FACING THE RANKED
The Wolverines faced 13 ranked opponents this season. On the year, Michigan is 3-9 when facing opponents in the CWPA Top 20. U-M picked up a win in its last encounter with a ranked team, defeating No. 16 Hartwick, 10-9, in overtime. The Wolverines captured a win over No. 16 Hawaii on Feb. 25, marking the first time this season U-M defeated a higher ranked team in the national poll. The last was on Jan. 22, 2011, when it handed No. 7 San Jose State a 9-7 loss during the Michigan Kick-Off.
