The No. 6-ranked University of Michigan water polo team (27-4, 5-0 CWPA West) concludes the 2011 regular season with its final trip to the West Coast. Michigan will take on No. 20-ranked UC San Diego (14-16) on Saturday (April 16) at noon PDT at UCSD Canyonview Aquatic Center in San Diego, Calif., before traveling north on Sunday (April 17) to face Pomona-Pitzer (6-14) at 11 a.m. PDT and Fresno Pacific (7-22) at 1 p.m. PDT at Haldeman Pool in Claremont, Calif.
Champions of the Western Division -- Michigan extended its CWPA division championship streak to 10 when it defeated No. 14-ranked Hartwick on Saturday (April 9). The streak began in 2002 when U-M downed Princeton for the Southern Division title and has continued through another Southern crown and eight straight Western Division titles.
The 2011 season marks the first time that the CWPA Western Division crown was awarded during the regular season.
30-30-30-30 -- Michigan is three wins away from its fourth straight 30-win season. At 27-4, the Wolverines are winning at an astounding .871 clip. The current victories record is 35 games set in 2009 and the best winning-percentage was established at .805 during the 2010 campaign.
Senioritis -- This 2011 seniors became the winningest class in program history with Saturday's (April 9) win over Maryland. In three-plus years together, they have amassed with a 129-32 record and are on the cusp of becoming the first class to win at least 30 games in each season. They passed the class of 2010, which wrapped up their careers with a 126-44 record.
Keep it up -- Senior Lauren Orth (Poway, Calif./Poway) has been extraordinarily consistent this season, tallying a point in each contest. During her current 37-game point streak, which dates back to last season, Orth has tallied 51 goals and 40 assists. Only two Wolverines have ever tallied a point in every game in one season. Shana Welch (2004-07) and Julie Hyrne (2006-09) both completed the feat during the 2007 campaign with Hyrne's coming during a program-record 44-game string (48 goals, 22 assists).
Rank and File -- Michigan moved up one spot to No. 6 in the latest Women's Varsity Top 20 poll and retained the No. 1 ranking in the Collegiate Water Polo Association's Top 10 poll, both released released April 6. [ Complete Poll ]

2011 YEARBOOK & RECORD BOOK
Beginning with the 2009-10 academic year, the University of Michigan athletics department ceased producing print media guides. U-M fans and media can still obtain all the information they're used to, only now it's available online. Each of our varsity athletic teams will have a Record Book and a Yearbook. If you're looking for in-depth historical information, statistics, records, archives, etc., the Record Book is what you'll need. CANHAM TO HOST 2011 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
The national spotlight will return to Ann Arbor when the 2011 NCAA Championship comes to Canham Natatorium. The games will run May 13-15, 2011.With a seating capacity of 1,200 people, Canham Natatorium provided the stage for the 2005 NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship. The Wolverines placed sixth while playing in their home pool at the 2005 event.
