FOOTBALL SEASON TICKETS: Game Day in Ann Arbor

Football Saturdays in Ann Arbor are vibrant fall colors, scintillating tailgates, the energy and passion of 110,000-plus people, the escalating buzz as kickoff draws near.

It's the culmination of a long week as you count down the days to another game reuniting with friends and family. It's walking the tree-lined streets with all the other football-crazed fans. It's the sea of Maize and Blue that converge at the corner of Stadium and Main.

Welcome to Ann Arbor. Welcome to the Big House.

Team 135

The Michigan football team will return 17 players with starting experience in 2014. The Wolverines have 46 of 67 lettermen from 2013 that are expected to contribute on offense, defense and special teams during the upcoming season.

The offense, under the direction of first-year coordinator Doug Nussmeier, will have double-digit players returning with starting experience. Fifth-year senior quarterback Devin Gardner and All-Big Ten tight end Devin Funchess will be counted on to anchor the offense, while senior captain Jake Ryan and Frank Clark along with All-Big Ten cornerback Blake Countess will provide leadership on defense. Coordinator Greg Mattison will have nine defensive starters returning from last season.

There will be plenty of competition for playing time when spring football begins on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The public will get their first glimpse of the Wolverines at the annual spring game on Saturday, April 5, at Michigan Stadium.

Recruiting

On Feb. 5, head coach Brady Hoke and the Wolverines signed 16 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent, including seven players who are already on campus and enrolled in Winter Term classes. Donors who give $500 or more to the Michigan Athletics Annual Fund have the first opportunity to purchase any available season tickets. The donation is not a guarantee of being offered season tickets; however, everyone on the interest list who donated more than $500 in 2012 and 2013 was offered season tickets. Season Tickets will be allocated based upon priority point total.

By making this tax-deductible gift to support Michigan Athletics, you help provide more than 900 student-athletes with the opportunity to be the Leaders and Best in Every Way. Thank You!
