2012-13 Public Ice Hockey Ticket Policies
ORDERING: To order tickets, complete your online application at mgoblue.com/tickets (Season Renewals) by August 17, 2012. Your email confirmation serves as your receipt. Please make checks payable to Michigan Ticket Department. All payments must be made in US funds. No Canadian or foreign checks will be accepted.
MAILING: Season ticket orders not postmarked by the deadline will be considered delinquent. Delinquent orders will result in the loss of your seating priority and possibly the rejection of your application. To maintain your season ticket priority, please submit payment by check or payroll deduction by the deadline listed. No telephone orders will be accepted for season tickets.
Credit cards will be accepted for payment of season tickets.
INDIVIDUAL GAMES: Tickets for individual home and away games will go on sale in late September. Availability is very limited for away games. If demand exceeds supply, priority will be given to Victors Club members, student season ticket holders and faculty/staff season ticket holders.
CLUB LEVEL: The seats in this area are sold only as season tickets and require an annual donation. There is a waiting list for seats in this area. If you wish to be added to this list, please contact the Premium Seating Team in the Athletic Development Office at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
CCHA PLAYOFFS: Each season ticket will include tickets to the three CCHA playoff games at Yost Ice Arena on dates to be determined based on standings in the league. If the Sunday CCHA playoff is not played, details on obtaining a refund for this ticket will be mailed at the end of the season. You must retain your Sunday playoff ticket(s) to receive a refund.
DISABLED SEATING: A limited amount of wheelchair seating is available in Yost Ice Arena. Applicants may purchase one wheelchair seat and one companion seat if desired. The wheelchair areas in Yost Ice Arena are ticketed areas, and only those with wheelchair tickets are permitted into these areas.
MAILING: Season tickets will be mailed around September 24. If you have not received them by October 1, please contact the Ticket Office. No refunds will be given for missed games. We assume no responsibility for tickets mailed to locations other than the ticket office.
ADDRESS CHANGE: To change your address, please send a separate written request. A form is available online at www.mgoblue.com. Indicate your customer number, old and new address and phone numbers. Address changes must be signed by the customer(s) of record. A copy of a valid driver's license for each party must accompany this form. In care of addresses are not permitted.
TRANSFER OF TICKETS: The purchase of season tickets is not a property right but a privilege that is assigned annually to you by the Michigan Athletic Department. Season ticket holder privileges may only be transferred to the spouse of a season ticket holder or to the surviving spouse in the event of death.
CHANGE OF NAME: Only a spouse's name can be added to your account. To do so, send us a written request signed by you and a copy of your marriage license. To remove your spouse's name send us a notarized written statement signed by both of you or a certified copy of your divorce papers. To change your name in the event of a marriage or divorce, send us a copy of the marriage license or divorce decree. Please note your customer number on all correspondence.
NSF CHECKS: A $30 fee will be assessed for all checks returned for insufficient funds. If you do not honor your returned check promptly, your ticket order will be cancelled.
SERVICE CHARGE: A $10.00 service charge is added to every order. The Ticket Office will not release your tickets until this has been paid.
MISCELLANEOUS: All persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket for admission into Yost Ice Arena. Cashing checks and processing orders is not necessarily a guarantee that a specific order will be filled. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be given.
PAYROLL DEDUCTION: The payroll deduction option is available to University of Michigan employees purchasing season tickets. Deductions will be made in three monthly installments. We anticipate deductions to begin in October and end in December.
OTHER: Tickets not purchased through the Michigan Ticket Office, StubHub or through the University's authorized agents are not considered valid and the holder may be denied admission or ejected. StubHub is the only authorized site through which a resale of tickets may be conducted. Tickets cannot be used for third party contests or sweepstakes without approval by the University of Michigan Athletic Department.
Attempting to sell or solicit the sale of a ticket(s) (even at face value) on campus without a permit violates University policy.
