Postseason Performer of the Year Résumés
Connor Jaeger (Swimming) -- Won two NCAA individual-event titles and the national team title. First U-M individual national champion since 2009 and first U-M swimmer to win the 500 and 1,650 freestyles in the same NCAA Championships since Tom Dolan in 1996.
Sam Mikulak (Gymnastics) -- Won three NCAA individual-event titles. First U-M gymnast and eighth gymnast in NCAA history to be an NCAA All-American six times at the same meet. His all-around score is the fourth-highest ever.
Mitch McGary (Basketball) -- NCAA Final Four all-tournament team after averaging 14.3 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game in six NCAA Tournament games.
Trey Burke (Basketball) -- Averaged 15.5 PPG and 6.3 APG in six NCAA Tournament games. Hit a game-tying three-pointer in final seconds to force overtime in Sweet 16 win.
Bruno Ortiz (Swimming) -- Won six Big Ten titles (two individual, four relay). First swimmer since Tyler Clary in 2010 to win six Big Ten titles in the same meet and first U-M swimmer since Gustavo Borges to win Big Ten title in the 50 free (1993), where he also set a school record.
Lexi Erwin (Volleyball) -- NCAA Championships all-tournament team and Berkeley Regional MVP.
Clare Stachel (Soccer) -- Scored all three of her goals on the season during the NCAA Tournament.
Katie Zurales (Gymnastics) -- National runner-up on balance beam and tied for third in the all-around. Four-time All-American (out of five events).
Sara Driesenga (Softball) -- Pitched 58.1 innings over nine games in Women's College World Series run (was on the mound 93 percent of the time), with three shutouts, a 2.16 earned-run average and 45 strikeouts.
Amanda Eccleston (Track) -- Part of national title-winning DMR (Indoor), won mile at Big Tens (Indoor) and took fifth in the 1,500-meter run at NCAA Outdoors. All-American in both indoor and outdoor seasons.
